About Regional Dedicated Driver

  Job Description

  Pinnacle Logistics is a leading provider of surface transportation, supply chain management, and related logistics services. We manage the shipments to and from over 40 freight terminals every day. We are growing rapidly and looking for enthusiastic, positive and talented people to join our customer service team.

  Pay Rate: $.70 per mile, and can be negotiated based on experience.

  Responsibilities:

  Perform safe and legal operation of commercial motor vehicles.

  Check shipping papers to determine if the load complies with all required regulations.

  Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations.

  Develop and maintain professional and effective relations between our company and the public.

  Drive truck to the required destination in accordance with federal regulations.

  Ensure that all shipping documentation required to move with shipments is available for inspection.

  Hook and unhook trailers from tractors, including cranking lever to raise and lower landing gear.

  Inspect equipment for defects and safe operating condition as required by state/federal laws and Pinnacle Logistics

  Fuel trucks and tractors.

  Perform Pre-Trip and Post-Trip inspections and Maintain Logs as required by Company Policy

  Perform all other work related duties as assigned.

  Requirements

  Must have a Twic Cards

  High School Diploma or General Educational Degree (GED), or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background

  21 years of age required per FMCSA regulations (2-year driving experience required)

  Local P&D willing to unload appliance trailers and touch freight to unload with Pallet jack and appliance dolly .

  Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License

  Must be capable of dropping/hooking and coupling trailers which involves cranking landing gear, pulling 5th wheel pin which takes approximately 65 lbs. of pressure; and maneuvering a trailer dolly

  Must be able to provide an acceptable MVR & produce valid medical card.

  Must be familiar with state motor vehicle laws and FMCSA rules and regulations

  Must pass a road test

  Must be able to comply with all company policies, rules, procedures and Code of Conduct

  Must be able to interact well with others

  Must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high-volume environment with multiple priorities

  Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, random drug and/or alcohol tests, and will be subject to a criminal history background check.
