What will you do
The Regional Buyer Outbound Freight is responsible for supporting the development and execution of category practices for Outbound Freight (FTL, LTL, courier, and parcel), including support of sourcing strategy definition, sourcing project execution, and stakeholder alignment. With a strong category focus the outbound freight buyer drives and supports the execution of the sourcing projects and is the point of interaction between the Category Managers and the Deliver Operations team and supply chain.
Responsibilities
Aligns with stakeholders
Supports the Category Managers with the identification of suppliers, the initiation of the strategy development as well as execution of sourcing projects
Actively engages with stakeholders as defined in alignment with the Category Managers throughout the strategy development and sourcing execution process
Ensures that the input from the stakeholders is considered in the process
Prepares the stage gate documentation
Supports sourcing
Supports the Category Managers in the analysis and definition of the category spend baseline and category profile, incl. risk assessment and SRM strategy
Supports the development of Go-To-Market and negotiation strategies in alignment with the Category Managers and ensures proper documentation
Provides support during the supplier screening and supplier selection process
Assists in the development of Rfx
Supports preparation of supplier communication packages
Prepares fact-based negotiation packages
Supports preparation of implementation plan
Performs sourcing management
Performs Category Manager activities for projects with limited complexity
Manages the procurement strategy implementation/sourcing execution for a less complex category
Drives supplier performance by, for example, discussing lessons learned from one region and making sure that the supplier builds on those lessons learned to improve service levels in another region
Executes end-to-end sourcing projects for less complex categories
Participates in internal and external analysis (industry & supplier) in collaboration with Category Managers
Performs supplier selection and fact-based negotiations, validated by the Category Manager
Involves the business in actions related to supplier base optimization, KPI implementation, follow-up, etc.
Conducts spend map analysis to monitor spend and ensure that all purchases follow the purchasing process
Continuously tracks forecasted vs. actual savings according to the Value Tracking Process for the category in scope - defines corrective/optimization actions if needed and follows up on them (escalate to Category Manager, if needed)
Qualifications
What we are looking for
Required Qualifications
The candidate must have a University Degree in a Major Discipline (ie. Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Economics)
The candidate must be fluent, both in written and spoken, in English
Experience: 1-3 years of professional experience in Transportation or other related positions, preferably knowledge of the category at hand and working in an international environment; good experience with supplier selection, negotiation, and the contracting area is necessary.
Experience in contract negotiations and contract management.

The anticipated pay range for this role is $88,000 - $142,600.
