After surgery, the recovery nurse serves as an educator to the patients' primary care giver at the Surgical Recovery Suite. The SRS Nurse is responsible for monitoring the patient's vital signs, operative site and providing education on comfort measures for to the patient and their caregiver. They track the progress of patients' conditions, and ensure patients receive adequate rest, food, and fluids. The SRS Nurse is responsible for teaching the patient and their caregiver how to monitor and care for their operative site including needed bandage changes, medication regime and necessary care for ADLs for themselves after they leave the recovery suite.
*Please note - this is a part-time position, 2 to 3 - 8 hour shifts per week *

AAS or BS in Nursing required
