ISB is a collaborative and cross-disciplinary nonprofit biomedical research organization based in Seattle. We are looking for a Receptionist to create an outstanding first impression as people walk through our doors and handle all aspects of the front desk/reception area in a professional manner. This is an on-site position working during the business hours of 7:30am - 4:00pm, Monday through Friday.Essential Duties:Answers and transfers calls on multi-line phone systemGreets and registers visitors; manages and tracks related elements of security system, visitor sign-in system, loaner badges, visitor parking, and badge issuesCommunicates necessary information to the Facilities team as needed (e.g. janitorial service for spills/rubbish, building engineer for building issues, manager for operations issues)Independently manages all functions of multiple operations-related organizational systems (e.g. lab notebook assignment, employee onboarding support, tenant contact database / Google groups); as well as assisting with related projects and process improvements as neededAssists Facilities team with event setup and clean upAssists Operations with first-pass audits and tracking core billingUpdates Swipedon for new employees and deletes outgoing employees as employee lists change, both for ISB and tenantsUpdates SOPs regularly as processes changeAll other duties as assignedRequired Education, Skills & Experience:High school diploma or equivalent (e.g. GED)Demonstrated ability to independently plan and manage time and prioritiesAdaptable to changing work requirementsStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with a diverse population and range of personalitiesStrong client service orientationA high degree of professional integrityAll ISB staff members are expected to have baseline technical skills and the ability to communicate effectively and appropriately over email, the intranet/forum, etc. Employees should be able to use Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint at a functional level.Preferred Qualifications:One (1) or more years of work experience in an office environmentPrior experience in a people-focused role (e.g. reception, customer service)Experience creating and/or maintaining standard operating proceduresPay range: $20.31-27.00 per hourBenefits information: https://isbscience.org/careers/benefits/ISB is an EOE (M/F/veteran/disability status)
