We’re looking for R&D Mechanical Engineer – Particle & Cleanliness Specialist to join our Mechanical R&D Department as a distinguished expert specializing in semiconductor cleanliness. As a vital member of our team, you will be at the forefront of developing cutting-edge methods and techniques for particle prevention, monitoring, containment, and removal within both atmospheric and high-vacuum microscopy systems.

Our Group:
The mechanical department is responsible for the R&D of all AMAT PDC products.
From the first conceptual phase to serial manufacturing, in addition, we support first installations, and field service if needed.
What you'll be doing:
Conduct Research and Development,
Perform in-depth research on particle generation processes and transfers.
Continuously explore and stay of industry-leading solutions and trends and use the latest advancements.
Adhere to and implement customer cleanliness protocols and roadmaps.
Define internal design requirements and specifications based on customer standards.
Provide crucial support for design activities related to cleanliness aspects.
Design and execute experiments to validate and optimize cleanliness protocols.
Simulation and Analytical Expertise:
Utilize highly proficient skills in simulation and analytical tools.
Conduct CAE simulations and analytical models to support development and troubleshooting activities.
Collaborative Engagement:
Act as a leading member in support groups, addressing on-site cleanliness challenges.
Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams, including members from various disciplines, project management, product manufacturing, field support, and suppliers.
What should you have?
MSc/PhD in Mechanical Engineering / Materials Science Engineering / Chemistry (or other relevant degree) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Highly proficient in the use of simulation and analytical tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with comprehensive knowledge of mechanical engineering analysis.
Excellent communication skills within a multicultural environment, fostering collaboration.
Fluent in English (both verbal and written) with high presentation skills.
Thrives in a dynamic environment with fast-paced projects, demonstrating out-of-the-box thinking.
Demonstrates a willingness and ability to learn and explore new topics.
A team player capable of working in large, multi-disciplinary teams.
Strong interpersonal communication skills, self-motivated, and a fast learner.
