　　Working closely with the sales, marketing, and engineering team, the successful candidate will build and lead a high performing HW/SW Application Engineer team to take Intel technology and products for RAN customers/ecosystem. This involves driving new product planning, customer collateral development, HW and SW product collaterals readiness, SW usability test, early customer enablement, and post-launch customer support. The successful candidate directs a software and hardware application engineering team responsible for enabling and optimizing Intel technology for customer/ecosystem products. In addition, the role includes elements of supporting outbound product marketing (Whitepapers, demos and PoC staging). Scope of development and expertise spans systems software, firmware, drivers, high performance computing design, development tools for the RAN ecosystem. Responsibility includes maintaining a healthy portfolio of ecosystem partners and enabling teams to execute through clear goal setting, facilitating work, maintaining accountability, applying differentiated performance management, role modeling Intel values, developing the capabilities of others, and driving team results.

　　Responsibilities:

　　• Leads a team of HW/SW Platform Application Engineers responsible for the RAN Solution collateral development, early customer enablement and post launch customer facing for the Intel RAN solution segment.

　　• Directs activities related to program planning, early customer enablement, pre and post launch customer facing, product usability test, and product demo/PoC.

　　• Directs, guides, and manages the activities of troubleshooting complex wireless systems, including software and hardware components.

　　• Collaborates with the engineering, and other PAE organizations to analyze and resolve complex issues.

　　• Collaborates with the sales and marketing teams to analyze next generation requirements and opportunities and may influence the systems and solutions.

　　• Develops long-term strategies for systems and solutions capabilities to support deployed systems.

　　• Responsible for enabling teams to execute through clear goal setting, facilitating work, maintaining accountability, applying differentiated performance management, and driving team results.

　　• Drives results by inspiring people, role modeling Intel values, developing the capabilities of others, and ensuring a productive work environment.

　　• ORAN, VRAN, L1 and L2 processing, 5G/4G Forward Error Correction IP

　　• IA Platform and tools

　　• High speed design and Platform Peripherals

　　This is a hybrid role is based in the Penang, Malaysia with worldwide partners and worldwide customers.

　　Some travel should be expected.

　　Qualifications

　　Minimum Qualifications:

　　Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering with 10 years of experience in

　　• Wireless Segment Ecosystem

　　• 4G/5G Wireless Communication

　　• Networking, Packet Processing (DPDK), IEEE1588, and SyncE

　　• Intel Architecture Platform knowledge

　　• Platform Software (FW, Driver, OS/VM) and tool chains

　　• Customer Engagement, Consulting, and Support

　　• Hardware Architecture, Hardware Systems and Subsystems

　　• Platform Design

　　• Product Development Lifecycle, Product Roadmap and Product Strategy

　　• Project Management

　　Preferred Qualifications:

　　• Architecture Feature Definition

　　• Design for Debugging, Design of Experiments Principles

　　• CPRI, eCPRI and O-RAN interfaces

　　• Forward error correction (LDPC, Turbo etc.)

　　• Hardware Platform Fundamentals, Hardware Security Validation and Debug

　　• Technical Documentation

　　• Technical Requirement Definition and Design

　　• Artificial Intelligence (AI) Fundamentals

　　This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
