About Railroad Foreman

Simmons Railroad Group, LLC is looking to hire experienced Track Foreman to add to our growing team.The Track Foreman is responsible for the direction of crews involved in the construction, maintenance, and repair of railroad track.

Essential Functions:

Direct and manage daily activities of a crew related to duties involved in the construction, maintenance, inspection, and repair of railroad tracksEnforce compliance with safety proceduresEstablish line of communication with customers to meet safety protocols and maintain client satisfactionMaintain accurate records of daily tasks, crew time, job costs, and production reportsFulfill duties (operator, laborer, etc.) as needed to keep jobs moving forwardPerform other duties as directedPhysical Requirements:

Heavy work, lifting and carrying up to 100 poundsFrequent walking and standingFrequent stooping/bending/kneeling/crouching/balancing/climbingDemonstrate auditory and visual acuity/tracking/inspectionAbility to

Operate a variety of equipment, including loaders and specialty railroad equipmentUse hand tools, power tools, and hydraulic equipmentProvide physical labor to place crossties, tie plates, track spikes, angle bars, and turnoutsCommunicate effectively with othersSupervise and train personnel, directing them to accomplish specific tasks on a daily basisAdapt to a fast-paced environment, multi-task, prioritize, and apply troubleshooting skillsWork outside in all weather conditionsWork overtime and weekendsperiodicallyTraveloccasionally (rare)Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $20.00 - $37.50 per hour
