Job Title: Radial Drill Operator
Location: Sapulpa, OK
Shift: 1st shift: 5am-3:30pm Mon-Fri, occasional Saturday
Job Description:
Obtain work assignment from supervisor based on schedule and priority.
Check oil and coolant levels and concentrations daily and inform the supervisor if maintenance service or repair is needed.
Identify the set-up type required and determine the work to be performed by reviewing customer issued prints.
Ensure that correct material and tools or fixtures are called out and are free from visible defects.
Layout, plan and sequence the work.
Select machine accessories and holding devices and verify that they are in good condition.
Attach machine accessories, tools, fixtures, and shop aids using wrenches, bolts, and clamps.
Select and check cutting tools and load and unload cutters using tool holders and hand tools.
Load and unload the workpiece on the drill table manually, with a fork truck or using an overhead crane.
Set machine index points per drawing and run the machine to perform machining operations.
Monitor machine during operation and adjust machine settings to correct machining problems or to prepare the machine for the next operation in sequence.
Check work after completion of each operation to ensure parts are complete per drawing and that there are no visible defects.
Remove all sharp edges/burrs from the part using appropriate tools.
Dimensionally check key features using precision measuring tools.
Submit completed job or in-process checks to inspector at appropriate steps in sequence and perform authorized rework if required.
Coordinate with supervisor to route parts to another department for completion if required.
