In this role, you will:
Perform inspections, repairs, modifications, analyses, and other maintenance-related tasks.
Maintain logs, records, inspection forms, and MIS reflecting equipment status, inspections and maintenance performed; Request depot level maintenance when the maintenance required is beyond the scope, capability, and authorization given.
Report equipment circuit operational capability status changes for all system outages as they occur.
Input Maintenance Data Collection data and other data into the government Integrated Maintenance Data System. Maintain, calibrate and repair comm-electronic equipment, including upgrades and modifications.
Schedule maintenance downtime: Document scheduled and unscheduled maintenance events.
Comply with and respond to Technical, Field Change and Engineering Change orders.
Determine repairable status of failed assets and restore serviceability.
Maintain Configuration Control.
Maintain equipment IAW Technical Orders to minimize the effects of corrosion on comm-electronic equipment.
Implement, document and practice maintenance safety procedures.
Support troubleshooting/coordination and reporting of long-haul circuit outages.
Assist with development of Operating Instructions, implement on-site quality program. Assist other Space Sensor Program personnel as needed.
Perform contingency radar operator duties as required.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A high school diploma or GED.
Ability to obtain an active Secret clearance.
Minimum of 5 years' experience with related instrumentation system operation and associated data handling.
Two (2) years of experience in maintenance of radar and electronic systems.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
Physical exam is required as a contingency upon offer.
Demonstrated ability to work independently in analysis and problem solving.
Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with others in performance of duties.
