Since then, Myers Industries has expanded to become a leading polymer manufacturer of material handling containers and distributor of tire repair and retread products for both domestic and international markets.Trilogy Plastics, a manufacturer of roto-molded plastic components, is looking for a self-motivated, detail-oriented QA Inspector / Technician to examine plastic parts and processes for flaws or defects.POSITION SUMMARYConducts quality checks in production facility to ensure that defined company standards are met and product integrity is preservedESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSPerforms in-process inspections of molded parts (part size, weight, wall thickness, etc.)Carries out specific measurement of products using equipment/tools (gauges, scales, calipers, etc.)Records results on part-specific forms and reports findings to molding teamAssists in identifying root causes and corrective actions of minor molding issuesFollows inspection priorities set by QA Technicians and SupervisorPerforms CNC and Finishing first part approval inspectionsRecords results on part-specific forms and reports findings to CNC and Finishing teamsCommunicates nonconformances to appropriate production, operations, or quality staffPerforms final inspections (Dock audits)Records results on part-specific forms; Logs nonconformance findings in databaseIdentifies and communicates nonconformances found during final inspectionsExplains quality requirements of parts to production employees, including interpretation of set up forms, inspection plans, and customer printsProvides internal quality issue supportProvides assistance for nonconforming product identification, containment, and segregationIdentifies any gauges or measuring equipment requiring calibration or repairParticipates in 6S compliance and auditsUnderstands basic ISO procedures and practicesPerforms additional duties as requiredQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
