Job Description:

　　Seed Technicians are involved in all facets of seed processing within a location. Indoor seed processing and packaging activities may include receiving, scanning, cleaning, treating, sorting, counting, labeling, shipping or warehousing seed material.

　　May be responsible for preventive maintenance of equipment in assigned areas.

　　Manufacturing (Production) positions may also include organizing, moving and placing seed into storage, maintaining inventory accuracy utilizing electronic inventory systems.

　　Activities may require bending and lifting (50 lb seed bag), long periods of sitting or standing. Extended hours may be requested during the peak seasons.

　　High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and / or related experience may be required. Must be able to understand verbal and written task and safety instructions delivered in English, and to perform assigned tasks accurately.

　　Must be able to adhere to all client SOPs and to support all site safety requirements.

　　Basic mechanical ability / understanding of equipment maintenance (able to operate and trouble shoot equipment) may be required (To know how to operate the seed counters and sewing machine to close bags (cleaning, noticing breakage).

　　Work hours: 8hrs/day, able to work rotating shifts during extended hours from 7am-6pm. First shift 7am-3:30pm, second 9:30am-6:00pm, expect OT and Saturdays as needed. (no outdoor activities)

　　Skills:

　　Labelling, biology, agriculture, Microsoft Excel
