Job Overview:
The Quality Inspector applies their conceptual knowledge of inspection and, with a moderate level of guidance and direction from colleagues and leadership, is responsible for solving a range of straightforward inspection problems. They will be responsible for analyzing possible solutions using standard procedures and building knowledge of the company, processes, and customers. The Quality Inspector understands key business drivers and applies this knowledge to solve problems in straightforward situations by analyzing possible solutions using technical experience, judgment, and precedents.
Responsible for review of material certificate, and providing resolutions for all technical issue related to project materials and equipment.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Provide technical inputs to procurement and engineering groups in securing quality materials and equipment’s.
Liaise with QC Inspectors to resolve material issues (if any)
Review material mill certificate and Material certification review (MCR) in timely manner
Assisting in generating and follow-ups closure of OS&D and client’s review of material certificates.
Assisting in provide solutions to any material deficiencies not in compliance with the requirements.
Assist in arrangement performing inspection at vendor premises for stockiest material prior to delivery to fabricationyard.
Liaise with warehouse receiving group to organize inspection plans.
Organizes and witness any additional test required for materials and equipment.
High standard of safe working practice, quality and productivity as well as compliance with the code of businessconduct.
Determine product conformity to customer specifications through daily surveillances and ITP inspection points in accordance with the Project Quality Plan
Identify non-conformity for rectification and ensure final resolution
Appraise product quality to determine conformity and non-conformity in accordance with the approved drawings and inspection & Test Plan; All inspection results need to be documented, and if non-conformity exists, documentation shall be raised to establish corrective action
Coordinate interface with Operations, Certifying Authority, Client, Job Sharing personnel, and subcontractor, assuring the conformity to project specification
Exercise a proactive approach to the prevention of a problem by interacting with Production, Engineers, and Management personnel
Liaise with customer representatives, ensuring product conformity and stage release for each activity denoted within the Project Quality Plan/ITP
Essential Qualifications and Education:
Under graduated Degree / Senior High School
High school diploma or degree in relevant field of study
5+ years of Quality Control or discipline-related experience with a degree and 8+ with a diploma
8+ years Quality control or related experience in Weld, Paint, Material Electrical, Instrumentation, Telecommunication and Equipment Inspection
Proficient in the use of computer and Microsoft programs
