POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Sr Quality Manager, supporting Nestlé USA & Nestlé Canada, & Nestle Professional. This position will be responsible for providing leadership, mentoring, and support for all Quality aspects within our contract manufacturing operations with technical expertise and support to factories assigned and other functions.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Build technical skills and capability in Contract manufacturing factories to assure autonomy.
• Responsible for compliance to Nestlé policies, and federal, state, and local regulations as required.
• Responsible for product quality and food safety of contract manufacturing sites.
• Effective use of TPM, NCE, and Quality tools to understand trends and to develop plans that drive continuous improvement and achieve business objectives.
• Coach and educate functional teams on quality processes and provide upfront support to project teams to support rapid onboarding and project launches.
• Collaborate with contact manufacturing managers to lead improvements at the locations to eliminate defects, complaints and drive improvement of site.
• Support customer complaint resolution with factories.
• Assist in product recalls or withdrawals as necessary.
• Request support as needed from other functions to achieve business objectives.
• Track and Analyze Coman Site Audit Requirements, FOB, and CC activities and prepare Monthly Completion Status Reports and ad hoc reports; Determine, highlight and escalate issues / risks as needed.
• Travel to contract manufacturing site locations for onsite support of projects, and continuous improvement activities; perform on site assessments as required to determine vendor approvals.
• Responsible for uploading and assuring accuracy of sites information in QIR , VAM, & SMI, NCITES, including but not limited to upload of audit, annual risk assessment, and other SAP systems as required.
• Ensure accurate contract manufacturing site risk and hazards in VAM through collaboration with Contract Manufacturing Quality Managers and Contract Manufacturing managers.
• Trip reports to be issued for every visit to the site.
• Review and maintain current Third-Party Audit Reports for Food Safety & Quality Management Systems based on hazards controlled by the contract manufacturing sites.
• Travel as needed to support collaboration with stakeholders
• Other duties related to quality function; office weeks, team meetings, operational reviews, factory support, projects, assigned to manage opportunities for improvement (OFI) with key impact stakeholder drive vendor performance and business impact
• Other duties as assigned by manager.
REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL :
• Bachelor's Degree required, in a food-related field, strongly preferred
• FSCC 22000 Food Safety Management Lead Auditor (or GFSI equivalent)
• Qualified PCQI (Preventative Controls Qualified Inspector)
• Thermal process authority, preferred
EXPERIENCE:
• Food Process/Product Experience
• Quality Leadership training or factory experience
• Food Safety Management System: (Food Safety Team Leader or Qualified Internal Auditor)
• Minimum 7 years food-related quality assurance experience and in-depth understanding and example of improvement in
• Food Safety & Quality Management System processes and procedures; implementation and auditing
• Hazard Analysis, Validation & Verification of PRP’s and Control Measures and HACCP plans
• Beverage (ESL, aseptic, pasteurization, canning/ bottling) manufacturing, thermal process technical expertise, preferred.

The approximate pay range for this position is $114,000 to $160,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
