Description:

　　Quality Techs spend almost 100% of their time on the production floor- they use computers that are standing alongside the lines to document all data and non-conformances. THey are responsible for catching any products that are out of spec/non-conformance and escalating those to the QA Lead on staff. They will be regularly walking the lines and start each shift by setting up the quality equipment and verifying all is working correctly, etc. They will also conduct visual inspections of the products to ensure they have clear labels, bar codes, etc. Itemized list of responsibilities is included below.

　　 Always understand and demonstrate safe work practices while working.

　　 Monitor the statistical process control (SPC) software suite called gainseeker.

　　 Monitor, measure, and document given line processes to assure conformance to product Master specifications.

　　 Examine and document packaging components and finished product assembly for conformance to product Master specifications.

　　 Program, calibrate and assist in the setup of Hi-Speed check weighers, Videojet, and Marsh coders.

　　 Program and monitor the Automated Inventory Management system for identifying and tracking finished production.

　　 Place non-conforming product on hold for disposition by the QC Manager.

　　 Pull product retain samples.

　　 Comply with all company policies and procedures.

　　 Other duties as assigned.

　　Skills:

　　regulated environment, lab, sop, assembly, batch record, gmp, quality check, quality inspection

　　Additional Skills & Qualifications:

　　-HS diploma minimum with experience or Associates in lab related discipline (MUST have interest in the industry as a whole)

　　-Ideally seeking candidates who have worked in a regulated or Quality Control environment before; does NOT Have to be crop science or manufacturing necessarily- restaurant workers would work well

　　-SOFT SKILLS ARE SUPER IMPORTANT- must have interest in learning and taking on new responsibilities, have strong attention to detail to catch anything out of spec

　　-Must possess basic math skills (addition, subtraction, conversions) to quickly make determinations based on line

　　-Person who takes a lot of pride in their work and making sure all the small details and labels are right - understands how it fits into the bigger picture
