General Job Description
Dogwood Industries LLC is seeking an experienced Quality Control Representative (QCR) to join our team in Sedro-Woolley, WA. A successful candidate will be experienced in inspection procedures in an industrial setting and will demonstrate an understanding of quality control procedures and key elements of the inspection process and documentation thereof.
Duties & Responsibilities
The core responsibility of the QCR is to inspect and report non-conformances in accordance with drawings, inspection checklists or other specifications identified in the quality assurance plan. Daily, the QCR may be engaged in these activities:
Identify defective or non-conforming workIssue reports and document resolution of non-conforming conditionsExecute and document specific test plansMaintain and distribute accurate drawings and red line correctionsMaintain quality control records, documents, and logsPerform incoming material inspections and vendor inspections when requiredPerform first article, visual and dimensional checks at all stages of productionOther duties as assignedRequirements
Familiarity with AWS D1.1/AWS D1.2 weld inspectionStrong organizational and communication skillsAbility to manage change along with competing prioritiesFluency in English with excellent written and oral skillsProficiency in standard Office computer applicationsCWI certification is a plusQualifications
1+ years' experience in quality controlMinimum high school diploma or vocational degreeExperience in steel fabrication or general constructionAbility to read and understand engineering drawings and shop drawings
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
This position requires moderate physical activity in a manufacturing environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have full range of mobility in upper and lower body, able to reach overhead, able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, squatting; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance for extended periods of time. Be able to lift 60 pounds of weight when required. The employee will be exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, fumes, and odors.
Compensation
$25.00 - $40.00 hourly, depending on experience and qualifications.
