At VCA Orange County Veterinary Specialists we are seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our Surgery Team.

Compensation : $ 19 - $ 28 / hr

Schedule : Late Swing

Location : 3021 Edinger Ave, Tustin, CA 92780

We believe in high quality veterinary medicine and patient care and making that happen through dedication and learning. The position is for four, 10 hour shifts, 5:00pm to 3:30am or 8:00pm-6:30am. This will include at least one weekend day (unless you are a glittery unicorn that really really wants to work Saturdays AND Sundays, which we would be happy to accommodate). Duties will include:

Maintaining medical records.

Preparing for and performing procedures and treatments.

Preparing medications and prescriptions.

Communicating in person and on the phone with clients.

Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.

Assisting in procedures.

Providing compassionate care and a home away from home for hospitalized pets.

Assisting in other areas of the hospital, as needed.
