Primary ResponsibilitiesPerform daily visual and dimensional inspections of structural steel.Maintain welder certification testing per the requirements of AWS D1.1.Administer and evaluate weld tests. Read and interpret fabrication shopdrawings. Review and update company control processes, procedures, andspecifications. Perform testing of structural bolts per RCSC. Coordinateand work with outside customer inspectors to perform UT inspections.Maintain company Quality Assurance Manual to meet AISC accreditationstandards. Collaborate effectively with other internal departmentsincluding but not limited to engineering, purchasing, estimating, sales,operations, HR and finance. Performs additional quality related projectsand completes all other duties as assigned. Minimum RequirementsPerforms additional quality related projects and completes all otherduties as assigned. Highly organized, thorough, and detail-oriented withability to effectively manage multiple projects and tasks. Excellentverbal and written communication and interpersonal skills as well as theability to communicate with personnel at all organizational levels.Preferred Requirements Holds a current certificate as an AWS CertifiedWelding Inspector (CWI) with D1.1 certification. 5+ years of relativeexperience with structural steel welding inspections. Excellentcommunication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicateeffectively with all levels of the organization, as well as withcustomers and vendors. Excellent time management skills with provenability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).Familiar with Bluebeam Revu.
