SturgeonElectric has experience performing projects under Integrated Lean ProjectDelivery methods, and also offers pre-construction services, in-housepre-fabrication capabilities, and Building Information Modeling (BIM)capabilitEssential FunctionsThe BIM Specialist performs technical tasks in Revit and AutoCad softwareWork with office and project staff to prepare BIM models of new and existingelectrical systems within commercial buildingsThese models are used to provide project coordination with other trades,dimensioned shop drawings for prefabrication and field installation,takeoffs using Revit Schedules, assist with preconstruction efforts, andas-built record drawings.Perform modeling primarily utilizing Revit and additionally AutoCAD MEPCollaboration will be accomplished through the application NavisWorks Managewhile performing Coordination / Clash detectionProvide dimensioned working/shop drawings for field installation andprefabrication, as well as, provide as-built record drawings at the end ofthe projectRegular and predictable attendanceOther duties as assignedEssential functions of this position are to be performed in aCompany-designated office or field locationUnderstand and comply with the Company's Code of Business Conduct and EthicsPolicy and other industry-specific professional and ethical standards, ifapplicableABOUT YOU
QualificationsStrong commercial electrical background is preferred to understandconstructability of electrical systemsHigh school diploma or GED is requiredKnowledge/Skills/AbilitiesRevit experience and detailed understanding of its processing includingsetting up and maintaining jobs, files, families and work setsAbility to use most Revit tools within a project; must be able to utilizebasic tools associated with electrical design such as conduit and cable trayCapable of extracting accurate and detailed information from Revit modelthrough schedules; this effort would identify quantities and values forconstruction materialsNavisWorks experience and comprehensive understanding of its function bysetting up and coordinating projects, files, and clash detectionMust be reliable, punctual, self-motivated, and have a good attitudeWHAT WE OFFER
Compensation & BenefitsSalary $55,900-$75,000 / yearCommensurate with experience, paid weekly. Posted salary ranges are made ingood faith.
