Lakeside Foods is looking for a QualityAssurance Internfrom June 1 through November 20th (estimated timeframe).Responsible to perform a variety of duties to ensure that the highestquality & safest product is produced by meeting or surpassing thecompany and government regulated standards. Position emphasis is placedon monitoring the quality and safety of product, performing inspectionsand audits in keeping with the program requirements of SAFE QUALITYFOODS (SQF), HAZARD ANALYSIS CRITITICAL CONTROL POINTS (HACCP) andFDA/WDA Standards. Job Tasks include: Be able to perform all QAfunctions & assist with training of seasonal employees Work with QA leadto give direction to QA techs and ensure completion of all QA checks aredone correctly Involvement in review of daily process records forlearning purposes Assist with inputting daily product grades after QArecord review Assist in conducting record reviews of customer complaintsand maintaining a customer complaint investigation register Assist inmanaging the process for putting product on hold and assist theplant/warehouse staff with this process Work with the QA Manager toupdate the QSM procedure and documentation registers as procedures arechanged which are issued and initiated by corporate Assist with labequipment assessment to ensure that it is in proper working conditionPerform periodic inspections of the glass and brittle plastic,sanitation process and food safety audits Perform other duties asassigned by Management Ability to work at a proficient pace, beself-directed and maintain specific job assignments throughout entireshift. Follow all company regulations and policies as directed inEmployee Orientation & Job Training, and complete all job tasks withEmployee Safety as #1 priority at all times.
