Mission Support is a manufacturing and overhaul facility providing structural subassemblies and components to the aerospace industry. We are presently searching for a quality engineer to help support the growth of our business.

　　Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

　　Working with the procurement team to ensure technical data is reviewed for accuracy and provided to suppliers accurately.Evaluate manufacturing processes with the goal of continuously improving process performance.Work with suppliers to improve supplier quality and delivery performance, as well as root-cause analysis and conducting supplier visits and audits.Proactively participate with customers and suppliers on the determination of required product specifications.Assist with QA Dept. in inspecting incoming parts as well as in-process inspections of assemblies in house.Create Quality Inspection plans for the QA and Production Depts. to ensure all products meet quality control standards.Work with QA and Production to implement NADCAP compliance for heat treat, NDI, plating, and welding processes.Assist with Production planner for in-house part manufacturing processes.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

　　Familiarity with legacy aircraft blueprints.Familiarity with all types of aerospace sheet metal forming.Familiarity with precision machining, both lathe and mill.Ability to troubleshoot manufacturing processes at the shop floor level, GD&T, and proficient use of precision measuring gauges.Experience in an Aerospace QA inspection or other relevant industryKnowledge of ISO9001 / AS9100BSME, ASQ, CQE or trade school Certification in CAD design and / or aerospace engineering experience is a plus.Must possess a strong skill set with 3D CAD programs such as Mastercam, Verisurf, NX/Unigraphics, MBD, Pro Engineer, AutoCAD, Polyworks or Solidworks.
