Description

Robert Half is looking for a Quality Assurance Inspector to join a team in Goleta, California. This role involves a range of responsibilities including data input, supplier communication, and inventory checks. This position is within the industry of Purchase Sales and requires proficiency in various software systems such as 3M and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

Conduct various inspection tasks, including mechanical, electrical, optical, and fluid testing of incoming inventory.

Maintain accurate inspection logs and follow established procedures to ensure quality standards are met.

Generate and document nonconforming material reports for any items that do not meet required specifications.

Utilize general inspection tools and equipment to perform testing and measurements.

Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to assess material specifications.

Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate reporting of inspection results.

Requirements

Previous experience in inventory management, warehousing, or a related field (experience in quality assurance is a plus, but not required).

Basic understanding of general inspection tools and techniques (training will be provided).

Good computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and follow established processes.
