Description
Our staffing firm is seeking a qualified QA Automation Engineer for a long-term contract position. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications through the design, implementation, and maintenance of automated testing processes.
Responsibilities:
Test Automation Design: Develop and implement automated test scripts based on project requirements and specifications.
Scripting and Coding: Utilize programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#) to write and maintain effective test scripts.
Tool Selection: Choose appropriate testing tools and frameworks in alignment with the client's technology stack.
Test Planning: Collaborate with the QA team to create comprehensive test plans and strategies, incorporating automation where applicable.
Execution and Monitoring: Execute automated test scripts and monitor test runs, promptly reporting any issues to the development team.
Regression Testing: Establish and maintain automated regression test suites to ensure software stability over the course of the project.
Integration Testing: Develop automated tests to verify the seamless integration of different software components.
Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to facilitate efficient and reliable software releases.
Troubleshooting: Investigate and analyze test failures, working collaboratively with developers to identify and resolve issues.
Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation for test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a QA Automation Engineer or similar role.
Proficiency in one or more programming languages commonly used in automation (e.g., Java, Python, C#).
Strong knowledge of testing frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, etc.
Familiarity with version control systems, especially Git.
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Travis CI, or GitLab CI.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
Previous experience in the religious non-profit sector is a plus.
