Position Overview: As a Psychiatrist at Priority Group Services, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive psychiatric care to children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral challenges. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual.Responsibilities:Clinical Assessment and Diagnosis:- Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments of children and adolescents.- Formulate accurate psychiatric diagnoses based on clinical evaluations.Treatment Planning:- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized treatment plans.- Implement evidence-based practices to address emotional and behavioral challenges.Medication Management:- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications as needed.- Monitor and adjust medication regimens based on treatment progress.Collaboration and Consultation:- Work closely with therapists, social workers, and other professionals to coordinate care.- Provide consultation to team members regarding psychiatric aspects of cases.Documentation:- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory standards.- Communicate effectively with team members through written reports and meetings.Crisis Intervention:- Participate in crisis intervention as needed.- Provide support during emergency situations.Qualifications:- Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry.- Valid medical license in the state of New Jersey.- Experience in child and adolescent psychiatry preferred.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
