　　SAS has an opening for a Purchasing Technician

　　Education & Experience Requirements:

　　Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or one year or more related experience or training.

　　Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX is a plus.

　　Direct experience using ERP systems preferred.

　　Computer proficient in Microsoft- Word, PowerPoint, Outlook. Advanced Excel skills required.

　　Familiar with internet browsers such as Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox.

　　Job Qualifications:

　　Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, percentages, area, and volume.

　　Able to adapt to new technologies and techniques to increase productivity and keep technical skills up to date.

　　Skilled at identifying and resolving problems in a timely manner.

　　Ability to present information in one-on-one and small group situations.

　　Purchasing Knowledge, preferably in manufacturing environment.

　　Ability to comprehend data as it relates to Production Scheduling (Manufacturing).

　　Great customer service skills.

　　Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Good grammar, handwriting and spelling skills.

　　Proactive at managing purchased line items to minimize shortages

　　Job Responsibilities:

　　Maintain and review computerized or manual records of items purchased, costs, deliveries, product performance, and inventories.

　　Develop a working technical knowledge of the goods or services to be purchased.

　　Arranges and administers all aspects of procurement services for assigned categories to various departments.

　　Accountable for end to end performance metrics for assigned commodities

　　Coordinates and review with internal customer’s requisition, scopes of work, specifications and other considerations.

　　Review, modify and negotiates supplier terms and pricing.

　　Filing, data entry, and organizing as needed and other duties as assigned.

　　Prepare and sorts documents, and identifies and interprets data to be entered.

　　Contacts preparers of source documents to resolve questions, inconsistencies, or missing data.

　　Makes necessary corrections to information entered.

　　Keeps records of work completed.

　　Transmits entered information into database.

　　Other duties as assigned.
