We are looking for an energeticindividual who thrives in a fast-paced sales and service environment.Successful candidates will have buying, purchasing, logistics, orprocurement experience. Prior management experience is preferred, but we arewilling to train the right person!Job Responsibilities:Oversee a team of Buyers and Admins who purchase materials to ensurestock/order requests from contracts are processed and received in a timelymanner.Manage the procurement request process; confirming orders placed withvendors are accurate and in accordance with pricing/discount structures.Manage vendor relationships.Negotiate pricing extensions and price protection initiatives with keyvendors.Develop processes to enhance purchasing capabilities.Manage procurement metrics to ensure good distribution of work amongst theteam (and to identify trends in purchasing history).Ensure inquiries associated with orders are immediately addressed, includingshipment date, type of freight, material handling, and all other inquires.Maintain constant communication with vendors and project managers to expediteshipping of materials and maintain shipping receiving expectations.Overseeing order acknowledgement processing for product correctness,quantity accuracy, pricing verification, and invoice compliance.Communicate daily with project management group relative to any issues thatmight negatively impact customers satisfaction.Hire, train, and develop staff and manage personnel to include performanceevaluations.Additional responsibilities as assigned.Job Requirements:Ideal experience will include: buying, purchasing, logistics, or managementComputer proficiency required including strong background in MRP/ERP orbar-code systemsMust have excellent communication skills and be able to interactprofessionally with contacts, internal and external, at all levelsWhy DH Pace?DH Pace Company is a distribution, construction and service organizationoffering a complete range of door and door related products and commercialsecurity products.The company is privately owned and has been in operationover 95 years!
