JOB TITLE: Purchasing Assistant
JOB OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our purchasing department, contributing to the success of our division by optimizing product availability and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Order Management:
Assist in ordering and securing products to maximize sales through optimal product availability.Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products.Quality Control:
Verify the accuracy of received products and make them available for production lines.Assist with buying through negotiation, product projection, ordering, and quality control.Communication and Collaboration:
Effectively communicate relevant information to and from other business partners.Collaborate with Brixtel Defense personnel, external suppliers, and service companies to exchange information and maintain successful partnerships.Administrative Support:
Provide administrative support to purchasing leaders and offer general office administrative assistance as required by divisional management.Maintain expertise in computer applications within the designated area of responsibility.Documentation and Training:
Maintain an efficient and well-organized filing system for the department, ensuring compliance with company guidelines for archiving and disposal.Conduct training and cross-training sessions to share knowledge and expertise within the designated area.Proactive Problem-Solving:
Proactively identify, investigate, and report irregularities within the designated area of responsibility.Assist with additional responsibilities as designated by the leader to ensure proper coverage.Team Collaboration:
Collaborate with team members and communicate relevant information to the direct leader.Uphold the security and confidentiality of documents and data within the area of responsibility.QUALIFICATIONS:
Proven experience as a Purchasing Assistant or in a similar role.Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.Excellent communication and negotiation skills.Proficient in relevant computer applications and software.Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.Must pass background check and drug screening.Competitive wage and benefits with opportunities for skill development.
