Miller Industries is seeking aHuman Resources Directorfor our corporate headquarters in Ooltewah, TN. As a leader in the Human Resources department, you will oversee programs and initiatives that ensure the support, guidance, and development of Human Resources Business Partners (HRBPs). You will also oversee the management of human resources consultation and support to business units from HRBPs, establishing procedures to analyze trends and developing workforce plans to resolve issues and positively impact business results.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Directly oversees HRBPs at all U.S.-based locations, ensuring high-quality HR service, management, and administration as well as developing, implementing, and monitoring standards and compliance in all areas of HR.Directs the HRBPs that implement and manage policies and programs that reflect the organization's mission and values, support company goals, achieve objectives, and positively engage the workforce.Provides senior management and HRBPs advice on staff issues, including coaching, performance improvement plans, and identifying poor performance.Responds to employee relations issues, such as employee complaints, harassment/ discrimination allegations, and civil rights complaints; serves as a point of escalation for HRBPs when issues cannot be resolved locally.Helps develop and coordinate initiatives, communication, and events with HRBPs, managers, and supervisors.Develops human resource and administrative policies and procedures in conjunction with the Vice President of HR; implements and trains HR staff on administrative policies and procedures.Maintains broad and current subject matter knowledge and expertise in federal and state employment laws to advise leadership with solutions for human resources issues and evolving organizational needs.Optimize HR operations and streamline core processes like onboarding, hiring, terminations, retirements, timekeeping, compensation, benefits, performance management, training, and others that make up the employment life cycle.Utilizes HR Information Systems (HRIS) to facilitate processes, provide data, and report on HR activity; serves as a subject matter expert on HRIS processes.Conducts regular monthly travel to each U.S. location to review HR/ administrative procedures and serves as relief for HR staff when on vacation or leave.Works with HR staff to ensure legal compliance in administrative functions.Conducts regular HR audits to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.Revises compensation po icies and benefit programs for each location and communicates changes to these programs.Updates employee handbooks and departmental procedures.Ensures HR-related data is secure and maintained consistent with company policies and privacy regulations, and that required reporting and filings are delivered.Evaluates, selects, and manages HR process outsourcing vendors and contracts.Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises 3-5 HRBPs. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree or equivalent.3+ years of previous experience in a senior human resources leadership role preferably in an industrial/ manufacturing sector.Previous HR Generalist experience.Experience managing HR in a publicly traded company preferred.Possesses exceptional employee relations skills, cultivating a positive work environment through effective communication, conflict resolution, and building rapport with employees.Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.Experience successfully leading a team of at least 3-5 employees.Multi-state experience is strongly preferred.Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Demonstrates a high level of initiative and motivation, taking ownership and proactively seeking opportunities to contribute to the organization's goals.Collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams and various departments, fostering positive work relationships and promoting seamless communication across all levels of the organization.Strong leadership and mentoring skills.Must possess excellent judgment and be adept at making quick decisions.Must have excellent problem-solving skills.Acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges.Experience with large-scale organizational change efforts preferred.Ability to travel 10%.Computer Skills
Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office products.Previous experience with Lawson, Workday, Kronos, or similar HRIS is preferred.Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsSPHR/ PHR or SHRM-SP/ SHRM-CP preferred but not required.
