Our teams engage at the forefront of large, complex projects to help navigate the competing challenges involved with reliable water supply, management, conveyance, and natural resources protection.

We’re seeking a Pump Station Engineer to align to any of our Northwest geography locations to assist with planning, evaluation, engineering, design, and construction support services for a variety of related projects. In this role, you’ll work with other members of our local, regional, and national teams to perform specialized engineering assignments for pump station projects of varied sizes, configurations, and capacities, and for a variety of potential clients. Pump station engagements may involve potable water, wastewater, irrigation, and stormwater applications, supporting water transmission, distribution, collection, treatment facilities, flood control, industrial facilities, or other purposes. This work includes evaluation and design of pump station system head curves, equipment sizing, wet well sizing and hydraulics, intakes, discharges, and pump and piping layouts as well as the development of design drawings, specifications, and technical reports. You will also evaluate existing pump station performance, operation, and condition to provide recommendations on rehabilitation and replacement of pumps and ancillary systems. For this work, you will coordinate with other project disciplines, direct the work of CADD designers and early-career engineering staff, and conduct occasional field activities such as site assessment, data collection, analysis, documentation, and construction support.

Depending on project size and complexity, you’ll have the opportunity to serve as a technical subject matter expert, task lead, design manager, and/or in project management roles performing technical tasks, quality control, and coordinating the use of resources to support multiple, concurrent projects through all phases of planning, execution, and closeout. You’ll also contribute to client engagement and development, and professional services marketing, sales, and business development pursuits.

At Jacobs, you will have the opportunity to grow professionally through your participation with high-functioning project teams, collaborating via our positive and empowering culture to deliver challenging projects and innovation in concert with our industry leading subject matter experts and market solutions teams. Through your engagement you will also build client relationships and foster future client opportunities in collaboration with our sales teams. Join us and we will support your professional growth and progressive career advancement, helping you explore all that you can do across our global company, with opportunities to share your knowledge and build experience and leadership along the way.
