St. Luke’s Health System in Boise/Meridian is seeking a Pulmonary Function Tech - RRT to join our team.
Schedule:
7am-5pm
3-4 days a week
In this role you will have your own patients that you will be taking care of, managing a patient schedule is key. You will be handling patient pulmonary education, sleep tests, oxygen test, ext.
Responsibilities
Pulmonary Function Technician (RRT) are health care technicians who perform tests on patients to assess potential pulmonary conditions and providing other respiratory-related care and treatment as prescribed by a licensed physician.
Work in situations of unsupervised patient contact requiring individual judgment.
Administer pulmonary function testing.
Demonstrate positive interpersonal relations in dealing with physicians, patients, patients' families, visitors, co-workers, and others in a professional and confidential manner.
Read and evaluate physicians' orders and patient information to determine patients' condition and treatment protocols.
Assess patients' response to treatments and modify treatments according to protocol if and when necessary.
Set equipment controls to regulate the flow of oxygen, gases, mist, or aerosols and follows all safety rules applying to the equipment.
Educate patients regarding pulmonary medicines.
Maintain pulmonary function equipment and associated supplies.
Keep records of all daily calibrations and quality control for each procedure.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Education: Accredited program in alignment with licensure requirements
Experience: 0 years experience
Certifications: Registered Respiratory Therapist credentials by National Board for Respiratory Care Current CPR Healthcare Provider
License: Valid license to practice respiratory therapy in state of practice
