Job Description
ICF is seeking a Publications Analyst to support environmental document project delivery efforts related to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Compliance document formatting and public comment coding and analysis for a range of projects in the Environment and Planning Division. The position is based in California.
Key Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the Publications Analyst are diverse and include document support, public comment analysis, and other duties as assigned. The Publications Analyst will use Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat to assist in the preparation of technical and environmental compliance documents and ensure they comply with federal and state accessibility laws. Specific responsibilities include ensuring documents to be posted on the Internet comply with Section 508 of the ADA and California State Assembly Bill 434 by conducting compliance check for all documents to be posted on the Internet, including identifying errors in document structure, headings, reading order, figures, and tables and remediating identified issues. The Publications Analyst will also review public comments on environmental documents, as assigned by a Project Manager. They will conduct hands-on analysis of public concerns and issues by coding or parceling out pertinent information related to the project being responded to. They will discern the difference between subjects and topics and have a background varied enough to understand connections between issues, and link the findings both temporally and spatially. The Publications Analyst may support other project delivery efforts, such as preparation of administrative records, project coordination, and other general project delivery tasks.
Requirements
Outstanding file-management skills
Ability to carry out multiple complex tasks with minimal supervision
Clear and concise communication skills for interacting with internal and external clients
Scrupulous attention to detail, both visual and textual
Comfortable working at a fast pace within tight deadlines
Experience in a similar position
High level of skill in MS Word and Adobe Acrobat
Professional Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work on a large multi-disciplinary team
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
Excellent organization and high attention to detail
Strong work ethic with a positive attitude and commitment to producing quality work
Basic Qualifications
2+ years of consulting/environmental experience
BA in Technical Communication, English, Journalism, or related field
Preferred Qualifications
Working knowledge of HTML
Performance Based Service Contracts training or experience
3 + years of experience with environmental policies/regulations including specialized experience in the National Environmental Policy Act, California Environmental Quality Act

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position is:
$49,452.00 - $84,068.00
