Description

We are seeking a Property Administrator to join our team in INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana, in the government sector. This role involves the collection of property-related aspects for Real Estate residents and the administration of property leasing and rent requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinating on the readiness status of properties for rent

• Drafting and distributing lease documents for section 8 residents

• Collecting and managing data on properties assisted under housing programs

• Developing spreadsheet trackers for uploading into the HUD reporting system

• Processing Requests for Tenancy Approval accurately and within set parameters

• Applying appropriate rules regarding lease-up, tenant moves, unit leasing requirements, criteria for denial of owners, and processing procedures for portability

• Collaborating with government agencies, community organizations, and property owners

• Ensuring clients understand their rights and responsibilities as tenants

• Investigating and resolving client and landlord issues

• Reviewing legal documents including contracts and liens

• Preparing and maintaining daily logs, records, activity documentation, and reports

• Understanding and adhering to program rules and restrictions

• Assisting with the closure of cases.

Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suites, and Microsoft Outlook

• Strong ability to manage correspondence and documentation effectively

• Experience in handling insurance matters related to property administration

• Knowledge of supportive housing recertification and HUD regulations

• Familiarity with commercial leasing and legal contracts

• Proficiency in database management for efficient record keeping

• Experience with commercial contracts in the government sector

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and within a team

• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and exercising discretion.
