Job Purpose or Objective(s): As the Public Health Representative, you will work with persons with type 2 diabetes within Choctaw Nation communities to lead health recruitment and engagement initiatives that support investigators in recruiting, interviewing, and retaining research participants. You will report to the Director.
Primary Tasks:
Recruitment of participants via telephone using a pre-generated list.
Work with participants to gain consent prior to interview.
Interview participants face-to-face at a convenient location identified by the participant or if needed via telephone.
Manage gift cards and incentives for study participation.
Develop and maintain detailed recruitment and retention files.
Upload and deidentify interview recordings.
Attend weekly or biweekly team meetings and report progress of recruitment and interview process.
Opportunity to be a co-author on publications and to present findings at conferences.
You will perform other duties as may be assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent
Effective telephone skills
