The REACH Equity Team in the School of Nursing and Health Studies at the University of Miami has an opportunity for a part-time temporary data analyst to support ongoing clinical research focused on HIV-prevention and mental health. The data analyst will support the research team by cleaning, summarizing/reporting, and analyzing research data for presentations and publications. The data analyst will work closely with the PI, biostatistician, and collaborators on the clinical trial.
Clean data using syntax
Score measures in the dataset (e.g., creating syntax for scoring)
Prepare tables and figures to clean and analyze data and for publication
Perform statistical analyses defined in the statistical analysis plans
Perform other related duties and responsibilities related to data analysis, as assigned
Pull data from REDCap for analysis
Minimum qualifications
Master’s or doctoral level training with a background in statistics (e.g., psychology, public health with graduate training / coursework in statistics)
Experience with SAS, R, or SPSS
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to prioritize as necessary to meet deadlines
Ability to work with a team and as an individual contributor
Strong organizational and follow up skills
Attention to detail
