JOB REQUIREMENTS: Drive straight truck (class A/B drivers) with multispeed manual transmission and/or automatic transmission The ability andflexibility to pull body weight safely into the cab from the ground (thepounds of pull would include the driver\'s weight and how one handlesoneself) in all types of weather including ice, snow, and rain Maneuvertrucks into loading or unloading positions and check that vehicle andloading equipment are properly positioned Perform pre and post tripsafety inspection of truck per DOT guidelines Perform basic vehiclemaintenance tasks such as adding oil, fuel, or radiator fluid orperforming minor repairs Inventory and inspect good to be moved todetermine quantities and conditions Secure loads using proper strappingtechniques Lift and lower lift gates Place carts and pallets in trucksso they will be available to facilitate placement and movement of goodsPull and push mail cages/carts on and off trailers.
