　　Position Purpose:

　　Responsible for registration and billing to third party payers for MercyOne Northeast Iowa. Adheres to MercyOne Northeast Iowa's performance expectations and performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of MercyOne Northeast Iowa. For Provider Based Billing.

　　What you will Do:

　　Receives claims and ensures clean copy is sent to insurance company.

　　Follows up on claims on first-time billings and takes action as appropriate.

　　Resolves billing issues with insurance companies, patients and physicians’ offices.

　　Registration functions.

　　Adheres to all safety, infection control and employee health policies and procedures.

　　Hours/Schedule:

　　PRN (As Needed As Available)

　　Minimum Qualifications:

　　One year post secondary medical office education preferred. Requires the ability to read, write and understand the English language, and communicate effectively with patients, visitors, staff and physicians while performing their job duties. Intermediate language, intermediate math, intermediate reasoning ability.1 0-key calculator, personal computer. Strong customer service skills. Ability to work well with the public and under stressful circumstances. Must be detail-oriented.
