　　Liberty Healthcare operates a specialized mental health program within the West Valley Detention Center – a San Bernardino County jail located in Rancho Cucamonga.

　　This program provides high quality assessment and treatment services to adult inmates who are justice involved and experiencing mental illness.

　　As a Psych Tech with Liberty Healthcare’s program, you will help people receive vital services and achieve improved mental health.

　　You will have an opportunity to work with and experienced, talented and dedicated team of professionals – while gaining valuable experience and skills.

　　Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

　　Establishing and maintaining positive therapeutic relationships with patients

　　Promoting a positive therapeutic milieu

　　Encouraging patients to take advantage of the program’s available mental health services

　　Monitoring patient behaviors and administering appropriate therapeutic interventions

　　Facilitating psycho-educational groups on various topics such as self-esteem, anger management and impulse control

　　Actively participating in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings and collaborating with Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Therapists, Nurses and security staff

　　Documenting patient’s progress and interventions in medical records

　　Schedule: 8 hours on Mondays

　　As a Psychiatric Technician and full-time employee of Liberty Healthcare, you can expect starting hourly pay between $30.00 and $37.00 (depending on qualifications).

　　You are a good fit for this position if you are licensed in California as a Psychiatric Technician and have experience supporting people who are experiencing mental illness.
