　　Assessment and Referral - Intake

　　Provides psychiatric and substance use assessments, crisis intervention and consultation to the Emergency Department and nursing units. Responds in person and via telephone to those in behavioral health crises. Provides psychosocial support to patients and families who are in acute distress. Determines appropriate level of care through the assessment process. Facilitates admissions to psychiatric treatment or provides appropriate outpatient referrals when indicated. Completes eligibility/benefit verifications and insurance pre-authorizations. Consults with on-call psychiatrist on all patients. Coordinates incoming transfers to Behavioral Health units from other facilities. Completes legal paperwork prior to admission. Collaborates with nursing staff regarding patients' medical needs and placement on appropriate inpatient psychiatric units

　　Psychiatric Liaison II – Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Master's Degree and full clinical license two years post Master's.
