PSE Mail Processor Machine Operator

　　Reports to: Department Manager

　　Location: Liverpool

　　Full-Time: Wednesday through Saturday from 2:30 p.m. through 1:00 a.m.

　　Non-Exempt: Compensation begins at $35,360 – $40,000 per year, depending on experience

　　What is a PSE Mail Processor Machine Operator

　　PSE Mail Processor Machine Operators are professionals who work in mailrooms and printing facilities to operate and maintain mail processing equipment.

　　As a PSE Mail Processor Machine Operator, your responsibilities are setting up, operating, and troubleshooting mail sorting machines and other sorting equipment. You would calibrate the devices to handle different types of mail, such as bank statements, checks, and invoices. During the operation, you would regularly inspect the equipment to ensure there are no quality control issues or mechanical problems with the setup, lift, and move mail trays, boxes, and equipment. In addition to working on the machines, you would perform clerical duties and document your daily work.

　　Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

　　A High school diploma or GED is preferred.

　　Must follow directions carefully and have strong attention to detail while multitasking.

　　Must have a strong sense of teamwork and accountability.

　　We require applicants to understand basic math and use copiers, postage meters, pallet jacks, and hand tools.

　　You must regularly stand, walk, crouch, bend, or kneel; use the repetitive motion of hands or wrists; finger, grasp, handle or feel; reach with arms and hands.

　　Must be able to lift 75 pounds.
