  Position Summary: As a member of the St. John’s Protective Services Team, The Protective Services Dispatcher provides support to Protectives Services Officers by monitoring alarms, camera systems of Meadows Brickstone Campus, answer emergency and non-emergency phone calls for service. Responsibilities include:

  Radio/Tele-communicator, Alarm monitoring and CCTV monitoring.

  Dispatchers continually enter and update data in computerized programs, including a Computer Aided Dispatching program.

  Operate Campus radio frequencies for Protective Services and Maintenance, coordinating responses and facilitating requests for assistance from, local law enforcement, Fire and Emergency Medical Response.

  Answer and make a variety of phone calls ranging from routine responses, back up support, to emergency assistance and notifications to internal and external entities..

  Dispatchers assist callers with connecting with the correct personnel or referring to appropriate department or entity to assist them.

  Process fire, Medical and burglary alarms throughout the St. Johns properties, deploying officers and make notifications as appropriate.

  Continually communicates with Officers and Officer-in-Charge throughout the shift.

  Provide customer service and assistance for walk into Office.

  Qualifications:

  High School Diploma or GED

  Required skills: Ability to read and write

  Typing skills - Accurate keyboard data entry

  Multitasking skills, processing and acting on multiple informational inputs

  Basic computer knowledge

  Ability to communicate courteously and effectively in all non-stress and stress situations

  Able to think independently while working as a member of a team

  PROOF OF COVID VACCINATION NO LONGER REQUIRED-VACCINE MANDATE HAS EXPIRED.

  Pay
