Position Purpose:
Works as part of the Municipal Water Proposal Group, reporting directly to the Vice President of Proposal/Bid Management, as part of the Proposal Group based in Tampa, Florida, with a home office in Paramus, New Jersey.
Collaborates and coordinates work with the other members of the Sales & Marketing Department, supporting the business development needs of Veolia’s Municipal Water Contract Operations Business Unit in the U.S.
This position will have no direct reports, but this person will be required to provide leadership for the development, production and delivery of Proposals and related documents.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
The Proposal Senior Manager holds responsibility for supporting the needs of the Municipal Business Development business line (Water/Wastewater), working with the Regional Business/ Technical/Management teams (Northeast, South, Central and West) in areas of proposal writing/preparation, proposal management and logistics, client presentations, and other related support tasks as part of the bidding process.
Specific work tasks and responsibilities include:
Managing the development and production of Proposals, Presentations, and related documents. Work tasks include: planning and process coordination and management; management/coordination of input; writing and editing of content; and document production (assembly, packaging and shipping) using the in-house resources of the Proposal Team and external vendors when needed.
Working with the Proposal management team in: coordinating assignments from start to finish, writing and editing, messaging, as well as responsiveness to the Request for Proposal (and similar documents) requirements; tracking and maintaining compliance with deadlines; maintaining compliance with Proposal outlines, schedules and other planning details; and for maintaining the quality of documents (including compliance with corporate brand standards) and other materials produced by the Proposal Group.
Working with the other members of the Proposal Team, maintains the Proposal Information Database, a Google-based set of information on current and past projects, project profiles/summaries, others information lists (awards, violations, and similar), and resumes (and related data) for Veolia staff that are used in Proposal documents.
Providing leadership on corporate initiatives related to Proposal development and production, including project planning and customer analysis process and global Proposal information needs working with Veolia’s corporate team in Paris.
Work with Municipal Project Teams (Project Sites), as requested, to support the writing, editing and production of Project Report documents and similar materials.
Qualifications
Education/Experience/Background:
BS degree.
3 to 10 years of experience in managing proposals or similar roles; managing the creation of documents in a deadline-driven environment with input from diverse teams/groups (technical, management and operations groups).
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Proven experience in the areas of writing, editing and the use of Google suite of tools (especially, Google Docs).
Proven ability to work as a contributing member of a team in a hybrid work environment – working primarily in a corporate office environment, with some work at home, and collaborating with staff in different parts of the country (East, Central, Mountain and West time zones).
