Job Summary
Reporting to the Senior Director of Outreach, the Corporate PartnershipsAssistant Director leads Industry Affiliate Program member recruitmentefforts and executes strategic engagements to support the research andeducational mission of the Data Science Institute (DSI), and to furtherthe goals of its corporate partners. The Assistant Director develops andimplements a corporate outreach strategy to meet Data Science Clinicneeds, DSI goals for continued growth, and joint research opportunities.The Assistant Director manages the day-to-day execution of the IndustryAffiliate Program while developing and managing new and existingcorporate members. The Assistant Director delivers a great experience tomembers through high touchpoint communication and serves as member\'sliaison internally.
Responsibilities
Recruits and retains corporate Industry Affiliate Program members tomeet demands based on data science student enrollments.Drives program revenue on an annual basis to meet projected budgetgoals.Identifies prospective corporate members and cultivates solicitationstrategies to create a diverse portfolio of industry partners.Develops deep knowledge of the local data science community.Communicates and builds professional relationships with corporatepartners.Collaborates with the Director of Data Science Clinic and clinicstaff on project scoping and timelines.Gains command and familiarity with data science faculty expertise.Supports the Executive Director and Faculty Co-Directors byidentifying prospective corporate members and providing strategy andbriefing materials for meetings.Explores joint research opportunities between Industry Affiliatemembers and faculty research areas of interest.Manages administrative and logistical tasks for Industry AffiliateProgram activities.In coordination with the Data Science Clinic and University ResearchAdministration, manages the delivery of the member\'s benefits, inaccordance with the Industry Affiliate Program MOU.Partners with Industry Affiliate Program Core members to developcustomized recruiting and professional education opportunities.Coordinates and partners with other university offices, such asCareer Advancement and UChicagoGRAD.Surveys and assesses Industry Affiliate Program members about bothneeds and experiences and acts on data collected.Analyzes job market trends and data and adapts outreach accordingly.Uses in-depth knowledge and experience to administer the delivery ofservices to program participants and/or beneficiaries such ascommunicating with programs sponsors and academic advising forundergraduate students.Develops and communicates program priorities and performancestandards and assesses operations using these criteria. Plans andconducts quality assurance reviews and recommends changes asappropriate.Performs other related work as needed.Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor\'s or master\'s degree in business, communications,marketing, a STEM field, higher education administration, or relatedfield.Experience:
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in sales, recruiting,student services, or other related job.Prior experience working within the broad STEM fields.Combination of non-profit and corporate experience.Technical Skills or Knowledge:
Proficiency with MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Experience in data management and analysis.Familiarity with Zoom video conferencing platform.Preferred Competencies
