SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS: Mustpossess a current, unencumbered license to practice as a RN in thisstate. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the Englishlanguage. Must possess accurate and comprehensive assessment skills.Must be familiar with drug actions and interactions. Must have knowledgeof restorative nursing and rehabilitation policies and utilizesappropriately. Must possess the ability to deal tactfully withpersonnel, residents, family members, visitors, governmentagencies/personnel and the general public. Must be knowledgeable ofnursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws,regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long term care. Must beknowledgeable in the Privacy Rule and ensure all staff comply withfacility privacy practices policies and procedures. Must possessleadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to workharmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel. Mustpossess the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpretthe programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures, etc., that arenecessary for providing quality care. Must be able to relate informationconcerning a resident\'s condition. Must be able to communicateeffectively to appropriate personnel regarding emergency situations.EXPERIENCE: Must have as a minimum, one (1) year experience in ahospital, long-term care facility or other related health care facilityis preferable. Must have training in rehabilitative and restorativenursing practices. EDUCATION: Must possess, as a minimum, a NursingDegree from an accredited school of nursing, college or university.
