  LOCATION: Headquarters

  REPORTS TO: Vice President – Insurance Agency Manager

  CLASSIFICATION: Full Time, Exempt

  PAY GRADE: $50,000 - $75,000 Starting Base, Plus Commission

  AVAILABILITY: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

  Position Summary:

  The Property & Casualty Sales Producer is a client-facing position that will contribute to the agency’s new business growth goals. This individual will utilize a consultative approach as they provide trustworthy guidance to our clients. Individual will develop and maintain a client base by assessing client needs and recommending appropriate products and services. They will have a strong understanding of the various insurance products offered and will stay informed of emerging market trends to deliver comprehensive insurance solutions. Additionally, the role will involve internal relationship building to create confidence in others regarding the identification of insurance sales opportunities and referring business to the appropriate business partner.

  Essential Job Functions:

  Identifies potential insurance clients through a variety of means such as market research, referrals, cross-selling opportunities, and cold calling.

  Establishes and maintains outstanding client relationships based upon mutual trust and respect; committed to providing a world-class experience for all prospects and clients.

  Engages in meaningful conversations with clients to uncover their specific needs. Provides tailored solutions and guidance to clients to assist them in making informed decisions regarding the insurance solutions needed.

  Effectively communicates and collaborates with team members, business partners, and insurance carriers to develop appropriate solutions for clients.

  Develops quotes using various carriers’ technology and websites.

  Effectively communicates recommendations regarding complex topics during sales presentations.

  Works closely with management to help achieve the premium and retention goals of the agency.

  Follows emerging issues and industry trends, regulatory changes, and insurance carrier appetites and products; is committed to continuous learning and improvement.

  Education & Experience:

  New York State Agent/Broker’s License required. Continuing education necessary to maintain any required licensing credentials required.

  Two years’ experience selling insurance products, five years preferred. Other sales or relationship-based consulting experience may be considered in lieu of insurance experience.

  Must have a strong knowledge and comfort level related to new insurance technology as the role will utilize tools such as agency management systems, and the rating/service software of the many carriers we utilize.

  Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field preferred but not required.

  Must have own transportation and valid driver's license plus ability to maintain this throughout employment.
