Responsibilities

Manual Machinist:

-Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations and sequences.

-Set up, operate, and adjust manual machines including lathes, mills, grinders, and drill presses.

-Select appropriate materials, tools, and machine settings for specific jobs.

-Measure and inspect parts using precision tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.) to ensure they meet design specifications and tolerances.

-Perform routine machine maintenance and adjustments to ensure optimal performance

CNC Machinist:

-Set up and operate CNC machines (vertical/horizontal mills, lathes, etc.) to produce high-precision parts based on blueprints, CAD models, and engineering drawings.

-Write, edit, and optimize CNC programs using CAD/CAM software or machine controllers.

-Load materials, fixtures, and tooling into the CNC machine as required.

-Monitor the machining process, making adjustments to machine settings as needed to maintain tolerance and quality.

-Use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, etc.) to inspect finished parts for conformance to specifications.

-Troubleshoot machine malfunctions and make adjustments to minimize downtime.

The essential functions of this role include:

working in a smoke free environment

wearing steel toe shoes

working in a non-temperature controlled environment

manual lifting up to 50lbs

standing for 8 hours at one time
