Essential Duties
Provides leadership, shares technical expertise and experience to otherpartners.Understands and adheres to all construction processes designed to helpcomplete projects safely and with a high standard of quality.Establishes and adjusts work sequences to meet construction schedulesutilizing knowledge of equipment/tools, capacities and assigned personnel.Confirms earned value of work and accuracy of Forecasted Percent Completions.Supervises craft activities that includes determining means and methods ofconstruction, manpower levels, material quantities, equipment, workschedules and documenting actual hours worked. Conducts timely, complete andmeaningful performance management conversations.Inspects work in progress and completed work to ensure conformance tospecifications. Reviews and verifies that all coordination drawings arecorrect with accurate field applications.Performs all required safety observations and eliminates construction and jobsite hazards as they are recognized to reduce safety incidents and theirseverity.Understands and practices Quality/LEAN principles (pull planning,six-week look ahead, value mapping, constraint logs, etc.). Ensuresall reliability risks are identified and measures are in place to minimizepotential customer impact.Understands project budgets and consistently estimates man hours required tomeet the needs of the construction schedule. Monitors manpower schedules toensure they match project schedules and provides material takeoff, estimatesand pricings for changes to work scope.Assists in resolving construction problems, and advises senior levelsupervision and project management of potential issues, workinterferences, schedule difficulties, etc.Maintains liaison with other departments, (i.e., Purchasing, QualityControl, Engineering, etc.) to ensure all required materials,equipment, inspections, etc., support craft activities and project schedule.Participates in pre-job and continuing planning meetings to ensure all projectteam members understand contract terms and conditions, clauses, schedulesor any unusual requirements of the project.
Minimum Requirements
Five (5) years+ in Mechanical Contracting working in a constructionleadership role.Colorado Journeyman Plumbing License required.Residential and apartment (Multifamily) exper ence with some lightcommercial preferred.Bachelor's Degree in Construction Science, Building Science,Construction Management or related field is preferred.Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods.Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevantrules, regulations and quality standards.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, coordination and/or BIMdrawings, submittals, specifications, details and job orders.Understanding of all facets of the construction process.Ability to plan and see the "big picture".Competent in conflict and crisis management.Leadership skills.Excellent time and project management skills.A Salary Range for this role is $32.75 - 43.67 per hour.
