The Project Procurement Lead is responsible to coordinate all procurement for local project activities and execution from proposal input to project closeout. These activities include (but are not limited to) sourcing, commercial negotiation terms, expediting, reporting.
You will be responsible for developing effective business relationships with all collaborators, including internal customers, suppliers, Emerson offices within the Northern region and various other supply chain contacts.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Achieves a defined set of procurement objectives, most notably for supplier risk management, savings and Purchase Orders (PO) /contract placement.
Ensures high engagement with project teams and industry pillars leaders.
Develops, motivates, and mentors buyers located in Centers of Excellence (CoE) - supporting the region.
Leads procurement strategic projects, selection and negotiations with suppliers within the allocated industry pillars, in coordination with sales & proposals teams and project managers.
Mitigates execution risks related to buy-out content.
Draft and negotiate suppliers contracts with the support of the Procurement Legal Team.
Evaluate suppliers performance.
Manages issues related to buyouts and suppliers.
Participates in Supply Chain initiative at European level.
Communicates optimally with the Supply Chain Team and Category Management Team to share information and implement actions.
Ensures that the management tools, systems, methods, procedures, and training are available to successfully lead the project procurement execution of projects within region.
Always ensures compliance to Emerson’s Ethics Policy and local laws and regulations.
DIMENSIONS AND SCOPE
Functionally coordinates the buyers supporting your activities in coordination with the Center of Excellence manager.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Master degree or equivalent in Procurement or Supply Chain preferred.
Minimum 5 years of shown experience in procurement, ideally in a project environment.
Proficient in English as a must, any other local languages as an advantage.
