Position: Project Manager - Stormwater - GBA

Project Manager - Stormwater Lenexa, Kansas
The Water Environment Group at GBA is looking for an experienced CivilEngineer (5+years) to support their Stormwater projects in the Lenexa,KS office. GBAs Stormwater Team works with various public and privateentities including internal departments to develop the appropriateconveyance systems and/or storage facilities to alleviate floodingand/or decrease pollution associated with Stormwater runoff. Ourexpertise ranges from analysis, design and permitting, Design Build andDesign Bid Build delivery methods to construction services. Our widerange of projects include Water Quality Study and Design, StormwaterMaster Planning, Stream and Riverine Site Evaluation, Storm Sewer Studyand Design, as well as Municipal Stormwater Review.
Responsibilities:
Assist with the collection of data in the field including but notlimited to streams/open channel systems, enclosed (conduit andstructures) storm and sanitary sewer systemsWork with various software packages to produce figures, exhibits,and/or drawingsReview existing reports and studies for information related tostudies and design projectsPrepare written studies and project design technical reportsPrepare calculations, designs and specificationsCreate and update hydrologic and hydraulic computer models such asHEC-HMS, HEC-RAS XP-SWMM, and associated software packagesOversight of construction observation activitiesOther duties as assignedQualifications
BS in Civil, Biosystems and/or Agricultural Engineering or closelyrelated engineering degree5+ years of experienceLicensed Professional Engineer desired, or current progress towardlicensure in the State of Kansas and/or MissouriPossess effective communication skills both written and oralMust be able to work effectively both on a team and individuallyProficiency in AutoCAD, Word, Excel & GIS Mapping software is a plusExperience with some, or all, of the following: assessment,analysis, planning, design and rehab of Stormwater systems; waterquality study and design; and riverine hydraulic modelingDetail oriented and dedicated to quality workCandidate must be adept at working on fast-paced projectsCurrent drivers license for use of Company vehicle for travel orsite related assignmentsExperience in HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, HY-8, and PCSWMM a plusTravel:
