We provide pre-construction consulting, general contracting,design-build and construction management at risk services. GBA Buildersis headquartered in Lenexa, Kansas with field offices throughout theMidwest. This position will focus on our mission critical business area.The ideal candidate will be relationship focused, both with internal andexternal clients. Strong problem solving and negotiation skills will bekey areas needed for success.

　　Responsibilities:

　　Willingness and ability to lead a design-build or CM@Risk team andrun a project or project(s) for a given client from bidding/ buyoutphase through completion and closeout phases, and serve as the mainpoint of contact for the clientTeach, coach, and mentor staff on best practices and procedures,client interactions, soft skills, etc.Interact with clients and design team as needed to resolve issuesand expedite the projectAssist with business development duties to help generateopportunitiesAssist with estimating department during preconstruction and duringbidding phasesReview project estimates with operations team (field and office) toensure completeness and accuracyQuality control reviews of design documents and field reviewsSchedule development and evaluationsEstablish project budgets and forecast budgets to project completionincluding financial oversight and management of the project budgetProject bidding and buyout both negotiated and hard bid projectsWriting subcontract scopes of work and initiating subcontractsSafety enforcement when on project siteStrong fundamental knowledge of the construction project cycleSubcontractor and Vendor management from contracting to contractcloseout

　　Requirements:

　　Degree in Construction Science and Management or equivalentexperience5+ years of construction project management experience. Specificexperience in mission critical facilities data centers and telecompreferred.Detailed understanding of project accountingPartnership approach to working with superintendents, PMs,architects, and engineersMS Office Suite knowledge and excellent computer skillsExcellent listening, communication and problem-solving skillsDemonstrated ability to be a team playerSelf-motivation and time management skills
