Horizon Industries Limited (Horizon) is a dynamic IT and Management Consulting firm based in the Washington, DC area and we are currently seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer for a full-time position supporting the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) onsite inColumbus, OH. or Richmond, VA.Summary of Requirements:Seven (7) years of relevant IT experience* DOD Top Secret* Must be eligible for IT I* Relevant certification meeting DOD 8570.01 IAT level III* Relevant certification meeting DOD 8570.01 CND-IS* Computing Environment Certification* Four (4) years of experience maintaining Insider Threat solutions in a DODenvironmentOperating System Certification: Linux+ or RHELTHE POSITIONWe are looking for aCybersecurityEngineerthat will:- Error correction and correct all maintenance problems that require code and/or operationalmodifications.* Preventive maintenance, evaluate and employ the tools and activities tuning, code restructuring, andother efforts typically undertaken to improve the efficiency and reliability of programs and tominimize ongoing maintenance requirements.* Services for minor enhancements that will be made to the applications in response to written requestsfrom authorized officials.- On Demand/Ad Hoc maintenance requests for the program.* Application regulatory change review and ensure that all software, hardware, and applicationsmaintain compliance with regulatory changes.* Patching and install manufacturer field change orders, service packs, firmware, and softwaremaintenance releases, etc. Perform product patch, "bug fix," service pack installation or upgrades tothe current installed versions.Perform routine maintenance during regular periods scheduled in advance and approved by COTR/CORConduct maintenance periods with minimal impact to users (preferably outside normal businesshours). The contractor shall adjust their personnel's work schedule to conduct maintenance periodsoutside normal Government business hours. Any additional maintenance conducted outsideGovernment normal business hours shall be included up front within the contractors pricing for thiseffort. The maintenance period shall be conducted onsite and or performed remotely after receivingCOTR / COR advance approval.* Ensure that systems will be unavailable during maintenance windows only to the extent necessaryfor systems maintenance purposes.Required Skills/Experience:Seven (7)years of relevant IT experienceExperience with Insider Threat tools.Individuals with experience may be eligible for alternate work locations (in commuting proximity to DLA locations)Possessarelevant certification meeting theDOD 8570.01 IAT III.
