The Project Manager for Leica Biosystems is responsible the successful on time delivery of complex programmes and projects working with broad cross-functional and multi-site teams. This position is part of the Programme Management Office located in Newcastle and will be on site. At Leica Biosystems, our vision is to advance cancer diagnostics and improve lives.
You will be a part of the Programme Management Office and be responsible for working with key partners to drive project on time delivery, identify risks and issues, implement counter measures and ensure task completion by prioritising and reaching compromise with team members and functional managers to make critical decisions to ensure project success. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Drive on-time delivery of complex NPD projects across various classifications within the agreed scope
Shape NPD processes to optimise results.
Influence, challenge and lead core teams to operate cross functionally to deliver best in class results
The essential requirements of the job include:
Proven and relevant experience of successful delivery of multifunctional programmes including new product delivery and manufacturing operations, or people management experience
Outstanding communication skills (verbal/written/presentation/relationship building)
High levels of initiative, self-motivation and energy and able to spot complexity and understand approaches to manage it
Rapid learning ability to deal with sophisticated and novel situations
High levels of integrity, confidence, independence and collaboration skills with a hands on mentality
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Proven experience of working within medical device (or equivalent) organisation.
Experience of leading or working on a Class II or III/CDx medical product development & launch is preferred.
